Our Equipment
Two Medical Rescue Vehicles, R-121 and R-122, are equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies and are deployed around the clock, 24/7/365. Positioned strategically on the north and south sides of Tellico Village, these vehicles ensure rapid response throughout the community. Generously donated by the E. William and France Kenyon Foundation, the vehicles were specially configured to meet the needs of the department before being placed into service in the spring of 2024.
Ladder 125 is a 1995 Pierce 65-foot Dash Telesquirt®, designed to support a crew of six firefighters equipped with self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). This versatile apparatus is equipped with a 1,500 gallon-per-minute (GPM) pump and a 500-gallon water tank, along with a Class A Foam tank to enhance firefighting efficiency. Its 65-foot ladder, manufactured by Snorkel®, features a nozzle with an adjustable range of 250 to 1,000 GPM.
In addition to its advanced firefighting capabilities, Ladder 125 carries 1,200 feet of 5-inch large diameter supply hose, ensuring it can effectively connect to the strategically positioned fire hydrants throughout Tellico Village. Ladder 125 serves as the primary response unit for commercial fire incidents and is also deployed to other fire emergencies as needed.
Engine 123 is a 2005 Ferrara pumper built on a Sterling chassis, designed to seat three firefighters equipped with self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). This apparatus carries 1,000 gallons of water and is outfitted with a 5,000-watt generator, scene lights, and a pre-piped deck gun to support firefighting operations.
Equipped with 1,200 feet of 5-inch large diameter supply hose, Engine 123 can effectively connect to fire hydrants strategically placed throughout Tellico Village. It provides critical support during fire calls, responding as directed to enhance operational effectiveness.
Engine 124 is a custom-built 2016 Pierce Dash CF pumper designed to seat four firefighters equipped with self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). It is equipped with a powerful Pierce 1,500-gallon-per-minute (GPM) pump, a 1,000-gallon water tank, and a Class A Foam tank to enhance firefighting capabilities. Additionally, it features a remote-controlled pre-piped deck gun for efficient fire suppression.
Engine 124 is outfitted with LED scene lighting and directional traffic control lights for improved visibility and safety during vehicle incident operations. It carries 1,200 feet of 5-inch large diameter supply hose, enabling it to connect to fire hydrants strategically located throughout Tellico Village. As the primary response unit for vehicle and residential fire incidents within the Village, Engine 124 also responds to other fire emergencies as directed, ensuring comprehensive support.
Rescue 126 plays multiple roles supporting all facets of Department operations including ferrying firefighters and providing additional support, as directed. Built on a Ford F550 chassis with seating for 5 firefighters and SCBAs (self-contained
breathing apparatus), it carries a remote-controlled scene light, powered by an onboard generator, capable of lighting a wide area from a significant distance. R-126 also carries equipment to respond to and manage a mass casualty incident. This includes tarps, covers, canopies, and other triage, treatment, and firefighter rehab gear. R-126 is also equipped with a 12,000 pound winch on the front bumper.
Rescue 127 was custom-built for the TVVFD on a Ford F550 4x4 chassis with seating for two fire fighters.
R-127 carries the "Jaws of Life", hydraulic rams, lifting air bags, and other equipment to handle rescue and extrication of people at vehicle accidents. The truck is equipped with LED flood lights to light the scene, a 3,500-watt generator to power additional lights and tools, and a 12,000 pound winch on the front bumper. The truck carries SCBAs (self-contained breathing apparatus) and spare air cylinders for use by the driver and passenger when arriving on scene. Rescue 127 is a primary response unit on all motor vehicle accidents and provides additional support to other fire and EMS calls as directed.
The TVVFD Rescue Boat (B-128) is docked at the Yacht Club and was built for fighting fires and saving lives on land and on water. Dubbed "Lady Tellico," she is a purpose-built fire and rescue boat made by Stanley Boats, a division of Connor Industries. B-128 has a 550 GPM Hale pump capable drawing water from Tellico Lake the lake and is powered by a 250hp Yamaha motor. Lady Tellico was christened and placed in service in the Spring of 2024.
